The Razor Scooter reinvented the push
scooter craze. The year was 1998 and this aircraft grade aluminum
scooter had just been designed by a European inventor who then marketed
the idea to the US toy market. By 1999, the Razor Scooter had been
discovered. Launched initially by a mom and pop operation in California,
Razor USA was later formed to be the exclusive US distributor for Razor
scooters and other Razor products.
In addition to the reinvented push
scooter, Razor's innovation for reinventing classic ride on toys,
brought back the big wheel as the Razor Scream Machine, the pogo stick
as the Razor Airgo, and soon developed an entirely fresh line of Razor
products, like the Punk mini bike, Razor Electric Scooters, and more.
